Qalye Mahi or Ghalieh Mahi is a southern Iran herb fish stew which is actually an amazing and different fish recipe that you need to try.
You can make it with almost all types of fish. I made it in my village house and satisfied my parents with it.

Ingredients
- Fish
- Coriander
- Fenugreek
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Tamarind
- 1 onion
- 3 Garlic cloves
Instructions
How to cook Iranian herb fish stew
- Marinate the fish with salt, black pepper, and ground turmeric
- Chopp off onion and garlic cloves
- Fry in a pot
- Finely chop Fenugreek and coriander
- Fry in a pan
- Mix with fried onions and garlic cloves
- Add 1 liter water
- Wait until boiling
- Meanwhile, add a glass of water over Tamarind and stir
- Add Tamarind to the pot
- After 1 hour, Add marinated fish
- Wait for 20 minutes
- Make rice
